Backerei Steimle in Oberried

Here you can experience the "real Black Forest cake" and not a quick tourist cake that is unfortunately only available in Freiburg city center. Crunchy shortcrust pastry, several dark soaked layers, ... that is still craftsmanship of the highest quality. The rolls and breads are also extremely tasty and only made with the finest baking ingredients. Unfortunately not in Freiburg anymore, which I very much regret, but no way is too far for us.

Super delicious tea and the cakes are a dream. Such a great size selection and that too on a Saturday lunchtime at around 3 p.m. We will definitely be back 😍.

Very nice bakery with delicious cakes. We were a hiking group. I'm 1m from the table without a mask, was warned immediately. A guest from the town without a face mask (Tempo) in front of the mouth, that was okay. 🥺

Very good Atmosphere and very tasty cakes

Whether it's a Sunday cake or a wedding cake, it has to be from Steimle because it is simply delicious. And pieces mostly large. The baked unicorns are set for our daughter. The treasure chest that the kids can reach is also nice. Even if "only" Kleberle are in there, that makes up for the queuing.

They have the most delicious cakes here! The staff are also very friendly and don't bother to let you choose from all that tasty food. Especially their version of the Schwarzwalder Kirche pie is superb. Just a little less alcohol than in the other bakeries.

The cake is a stunner. Rarely eaten so delicious cheesecake. The Black Forest cake is without exception the best I have ever tasted. The portions are plentiful. Prices are perfectly okay. The selection of bread and rolls is also good. It tastes delicious. Actually I can recommend everything and the staff are very nice.

Very good pastry shop! We regularly catch cakes here and are always very satisfied. There is always a wide selection and we have never been disappointed! For our wedding a Mozart cake was ordered for us which the confectioners decorated with our names. The cake was really awesome and tasted really good. The cake also looks 1A, see picture. All in all a pastry shop that I can recommend to everyone. We are definitely "regular guests".

Cute little black forest cafe/ bakery. Interior is cozy and completed with antique black forest photographs on the walls. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back.
